A homely looking building from the outside, Hotel Him Queen is a typical hilltop bungalow. A natural feeling of quaintness seeps in as you enter this hotel. The spacious reception and lobby area is done partly in wood and partly in granite. The wooden floor of the lobby, ceiling and rich wooden furniture transports you to a different world altogether. The rich woodwork here is matched with a rustic decor of iron urns, figurines of gods and goddesses matched in perfection to the red sofa units and red carpet. The hotel's humongous restaurant is located just next to the lobby.

Rooms
The hotel offers a total of 38 rooms divided into the Luxury Suite, Super Deluxe room, Suite room and Deluxe room. The Luxury Suite is a huge room with a corridor like living room cum dining area. The bedroom has wooden floors and a loud decor. However, the room is nicely furnished with two single beds, a divan, cupboard, dressing table, satellite television, mini bar and intercom. A half partition in this room leads to the living room, where a cane sofa unit and a cane dining table are prettily housed. The best part about this room is that there is plenty of sunlight seeping in making it comfortable. The washroom is located right at the entrance of the room and has a bathtub, geyser and amenities like soap, shampoo, towels and toilet paper. The Super Deluxe room is a compact room and has two sofa chairs, and a long luggage rack with a television perched on one end. Next to that lies the dressing table and cupboard. The ceiling has ornate carvings on them, which matched the cupboard door. This room has an attached balcony overlooking the main road. The washroom is small and could be lit better. However, there is a geyser and bathtub here with amenities like soap, towels and toilet paper. The Suite room is the exact replica of the Super Deluxe room, only slightly bigger in size and with a view of the valley. Even the balcony opens to the vast expanse of a beautiful green. The Deluxe room is also the same as the Super Deluxe room but with a slight difference. The room is not as furnished as the Super Deluxe room and has cane chairs instead of sofa chairs for seating.

Dining
The hotel's only restaurant is located in the lobby level and is a big spacious room with a seating capacity of 60 people. The restaurant has an alcove like area with glass windows overlooking the valley. Guests can sit by this private seating area and enjoy the spectacular view and meals of course. The restaurant offers a variety of Indian, Chinese and Tibetan a la carte and buffet meals. The hotel also offers room service all throughout the day. However, please note here that they levy a surcharge on the room service.

Hotel Him Queen is located in Mec Leodganj in the Dharamshala district. The Mec Leodganj market and bus stand is withinh walking distance from the hotel, while the Kangra airport is 25 kilometres away and Pathankot railway station 100 kilometres away.
