Location
Hotel Mount View is located at the Dalhousie bus stand. The Kangra airport and Pathankot railway station is 80 kilometres away from the hotel, while Khajjiar is 22 kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Mount View was originally known as Bullheat when it was started in 1904. It was the choicest hub of the British government at that time. In 1967, the Bullheat was changed into Hotel Mount View and has ever since been the favourite destination for people across all ages. Hotel Mount View is a beautiful place overlooking the valley. It is divided into cottages lined with carpet lawns and sweet smelling flowers. The reception cum lobby area is done in complete wood and is adjoined by the conference hall and the restaurant on its left.

Rooms
The hotel offers a total of 32 rooms divided into 6 Standard rooms, 6 deluxe rooms, 12 Super Deluxe rooms, 6 Classic Suites and 5 Duplex rooms. The Classic Suite is a combination of two rooms - one a living room and the other, the bedroom. The living room overlooks the valley and houses a love couch, 2 sofa chairs, a bar counter, satellite television, fridge and a dining table for two people. The bedroom is spacious and aesthetically designed and has a satellite television, DVD player, study table, table fan, a long sofa and a centre table, intercom, cupboard and an adjoining cloak room which houses the dressing table and luggage rack. The bathroom is large and has a Jacuzzi fitted bathtub. Other bathroom amenities include soap, shampoo, towels and toilet paper.

The Super Deluxe room has a separate bedroom and a living room. The living room is has tiled floors, a sofa set and a centre table and a dining table for two. The bedroom is similar to the Classic Suites in terms of size and setting, but does not have DVD player and fridge in the drawing room and has only one television in the bedroom. The bedroom here is carpeted. The Deluxe room is one huge bedroom with a sofa set and a centre table for seating. Other amenities include a satellite television, study table, fan, cupboard and a cloak room with a cupboard, luggage rack and a dressing table. The bathroom has a bathtub and geyser and the same toiletries as the other rooms.

The Standard room is a basic room with no frills and frolics. Amenities include sofa chairs, satellite television, dressing table mirror, intercom, cupboard, luggage rack and an attached balcony. The bathroom is also basic and has a shower cubicle with the above mentioned toiletries. The Duplex room is a cosy looking and has two bedrooms. The one on the lower level has most of the amenities like satellite television, study table, fan, cupboard, cupboard, luggage rack, sofa chairs and centre table and a dressing table. The bathroom has a bathtub and geyser and the same toiletries as the other rooms. The upper floor bedroom houses another television, fridge, bed and sofa chair.

Dining
The hotel has a beautiful restaurant in very country house set up with glass windows on one side and beautiful decor on the walls. The restaurant serves a whole range of Indian, Chinese and local cuisines.

Facilities
The hotel has a beautiful and contemporary conference hall at the lobby level with a seating capacity of 150 persons. Other facilities include laundry service, housekeeping service, sightseeing, car rental facility, parking facility, internet connectivity at an additional charge, lawn, and bonfire and recreation games like carom, chess and cards.
