Bharath Hotel is nearly 45 years old. Location you canÂ’t expect better than that, walk able to Boat Jetty from where all the boats to Fort Cochin and other Island start. Also you can walk further and get boats from the Marine Drive. Also from Boat Jetty early morning you can catch boat which will take you to all the Islands just for 150/- per person. This boat starts only at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, else you can always take the regular boats to Fort Cochin. MG road is again walk able which has several jewellery shops and major shopping arcades. If you are keen on harbour view, you need to take air-conditioned rooms. About food, breakfast was excellent with fruits and juices and lots appams and idlies. Evening you can try snacks very tasty chats. Restaurants are clean, serving good food.

Bharat Hotel is a well-managed, clean and efficient hotel. My room was clean and quiet. Check-in was well run, but at early check-out there was a little confusion about payment (I think it was the night receptionist who was not as well-informed at the evening one). The snack bar was tasty and clean. Overall I was happy with my stay there.
