Bangalore City Attractions
MG Road
It is one of the busiest roads in the city and is lined with upscale stores, restaurants, pubs, cafes and showrooms. It runs from Trinity Circle to Anil Kumble Circle at the other end. It has an eclectic mix of hotels, offices and old world shops.
Whitefield
A greenbelt on the outskirts of the city, Whitefield is home to the citys International Tech Park - ITPB. ITPB also has a Tech Park Mall with a wide range of services and recreational facilities. The Satya Sai Baba ashram is also in the Whitefield area.
Hal Airport
HAL is the domestic and international airport located about 14 kms from the city centre. It is serviced by all domestic and selective international airlines.
Bangalore City Railway Station
Of the two railway stations in the city, Bangalore City Railway Station is the main one. It connects major cities through meter gauge and broad gauge rail services.
Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station
One of the two stations in the city, this station is located in the citys centre in proximity to MG Road. This railway station services all major cities including Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi.
Vidhan Soudha
The legislative house of the state of Karnataka, the architecture of the building is based on Dravidian style with richly carved bases, Rajasthani jharokhas, chaithya arches and heavy pediments.
Ulsoor Lake
A popular venue for boating and shopping, this 125-acre long lake was made by Kempe Gowda II. Located northeast of MG Road, there is a large gurudwara adjacent to it as well as a public swimming pool.
Bangalore Racecourse
Considered one of the best in the country, the Bangalore Racecourse nestles amidst 85 acres of greenery in the heart of the city. It has facilities like horse stables, training tracks, an equine swimming pool, a veterinary hospital and a riding school.

Also known as Hudson Circle, Corporation Circle is a criss cross of six roads in the city.
Koramangala
In south Bangalore, Koramangala is intersected by major roads of the city. Along with commercial establishments like restaurants and shopping malls, many business houses have their offices in this area. It is about 10 kms from the airport.
Indira Nagar
Mainly a residential area in central Bangalore, Indira Nagar is minutes from the airport. The grand Someswara Temple is also in this area.
Hosur Road
It is the road which connects Bangalore to Hosur. It is the National Highway of India with 4 lanes and service lanes on either side and is maintained by the NHAI.
Yelahanka
Yelahnka is a town and a city municipal council at an elevation of 2910 feet on the northern periphery of Bangalore. The area is mainly residential with a few educational institutions and the Rail Wheel Factory.
Brigade Road
Originally an area where British soldier bought their supplies, today Brigade Road is a popular commercial hub in the city. It is bordered with restaurants, bars and malls selling everything from branded clothes to traditional handicrafts.
Jayanagar
About 15 kms from the airport, Jayanagar is a self-contained residential area replete with cinema halls, shopping malls and restaurants.
Electronic City
On the outskirts of Bangalore, Electronic City is an industrial park spread over 330 acres of land. It houses more than a 100 industries including IT leaders like Hewlett Packard, Motorola, Infosys and Wipro. It is 15 km form the airport.
Garuda Mall
It is located on Magrath Road, near M.G road. Stretched out over 75,000 sq. metres, it has 5 floors and more than 120 shops and restaurants. It includes a 5 screen INOX cinema multiplex, and also has a large food court with more than 20 counters.

It is located on Hosur Road, Koramangala, and is a very popular with the locals. One of the largest in the country; with more than 650,000 sq.ft of shopping space, it also houses a 11 screen PVR cinema multiplex, and a large food court.
Jayanagar 4th block shopping complex
The Jayanagar 4th block Market is full of old-style stores. It is a big complex, with many entrances. It has luggage stores, book stores, clothes, shoe shops, and a sprawling indoor market with shops selling everything from vegetables to puja items.
Commercial Street
Located near M.G Road  the centre of town, Commercial Street is known for its shopping. Most apparels and commodities are available there, such as clothes, cosmetics, jewellery etc. Always busy, parking is not allowed in an effort to reduce congestion
Lal Bagh
Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens is one of the largest parks - 240 acres - in India to be nestled within a city. It houses over a 1000 species of flora also has a greenhouse and a lake. Entry is open from 6 am - 7 pm at Rs.10, free entry from 6 am to 9 am.
Cubbon Park
It, along with Lal Bagh, is another reason why Bangalore is called the Garden City. Located right in the centre of town near M.G Road, it has an aquarium one side, the High Court and Vidhan Soudha on the other.
Kanakapura Road
Till a few years ago, it was just an old highway. Now, it has transformed into a bustling hub of activities, with huge shopping and apartment complexes springing up everyday. A six-lane super highway between Bangalore and Mysore is under construction.

Bannerghatta National Park
Established in the year 1974, it extends to an area of about 25,000 acres. Some of the animals to be seen here are tigers, lions, panthers, elephants, bears, deers and macaques, as well as a large variety of birds and reptiles. Safaris can be organized.
Banglore Golf Club
Located near Nehru Planetarium, it was founded in 1876, making it the second oldest golf course in India. Spanning over 60 acres, it is a par 71, 18-hole golf course, in a total distance of 6,650 yards. It is 3 km from M.G. Road and the Railway Station.
Vishweshwariah Museum
Vishweshwariah Industrial and Technological Museum was built celebrating the birth centenary of Sir M. Vishweshwariah, a distinguished civil engineer. It is a great place to see and understand science, through the many interactive exhibits and shows.
Banglore Palace
Built in 1887 by the Wodeyars, Bangalore Palace was inspired by Windsor Castle. Surrounded by 400 acres of Palace Grounds that host various functions, the Palace is famous for its carving and paintings, as well as its fortified towers and Gothic windows.
Tipus Palace
The ruins of Tipus Palace are at Srirangapatna, which is on the Bangalore-Mysore highway, 16 km from Mysore. Constructed in 1791, it was the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan, it is an ornate structure that rewards exploration.
The Bull Temple
The Basavanagudi Nandi Temple is a 16th century temple dedicated to Nandi, the divine bull of Lord Shiva. It is located in Basavanagudi, and contains a huge idol of Nandi carved out of a single granite rock.
Iskcon emple
Situated about 7 km from the Bangalore City Railway Station, ISKCON Temple, is located at Hare Krishna Hill in Bangalore. It is also known as Sri Radha Krishna Chandra Temple, and has a 56 ft gold-plated Dwajastambha, the tallest of its kind in the world
