Location
Located in one of the important commercial areas of the city, Hotel Royal Orchid is approximately 25 kilometres from the new Bengaluru International Airport and 12 kilometres from the Central Railway Station. It is 10 kilometres away from MG Road and Commercial Street.

A resplendent five star hotel with world class luxury facilities, Hotel Royal Orchid offers unparalleled services to progressive travellers. Spread over a large area, the red brick structure houses numerous dining joints, conference halls of varying sizes, lawns and a variety of accommodation options.

From the main gate, a driveway leads up to the hotel's entrance, which is shaded by a porch. Inside, the huge hall with a high ceiling has the lobby at one end and a reception counter at the other. The bell desk is lodged near the entrance while the travel desk stands beyond the beautiful flower arrangement in the centre of the hall. Two elegant sets of sofas make up the lobby which has a decorative and ornate silver coloured 'jhula' at one end, near the entrance.

Rooms
Hotel Royal Orchid offers luxurious accommodation in 195 rooms of which 58 are non-smoking rooms. All rooms are spread across five floors in two separate wings of the hotel. While the old wing has 148 rooms, the new wing has 50 rooms. From the lobby, separate sets of elevators provide access to the two wings. The rooms are divided into 94 Deluxe rooms, 26 Top Floor rooms, 50 Royal Club rooms, 9 Executive Suites, 5 Studio Apartments and 11 Service Apartments. The top floor is the Executive Floor and houses an Executive Lounge besides the Top Floor rooms.

All rooms are appointed with a plasma television, direct dial telephone, tea/coffee maker, mini bar, study table, electronic safe, iron with ironing board, weighing scale, shoe shine mitt, walk in closet and sofa unit with glass topped centre table. Complimentary medicated pillows are also provided to all guests on request. A brochure placed on the bedside table of each room provides all relevant information about the specific benefits of a medicated pillow. The washroom amenities include a bathtub, hair dryer, linen, soap, conditioning shampoo, comb, shower cap, shower gel, bath foam, dental kit, shaving kit, moisturiser and first aid kit. An extension of the room's telephone line is provided in the washroom as well.

The Royal Club rooms, Suites and Service Apartments are equipped with a DVD player and video phone besides all other amenities. The washroom has a separate shower cubicle with a massage shower besides a shaving mirror. In all other rooms, DVD player is available on request. Guests can request for movies from the hotel's DVD library at a nominal charge. In addition, the Executive Suites and Service Apartments are more spacious with a separate living room and bedroom. Guests residing in Service Apartments and Top Floor rooms can enjoy breakfast at the Executive Lounge on the top floor.

Dining
Hotel Royal Orchid offers a variety of dining options with a 24 hour coffee shop, a speciality restaurant, a pub and a lounge. Limelight, the 24 hour multi cuisine coffee shop and Geoffrey's, the famous English pub, are located on the ground floor while Ginseng, the Oriental restaurant and Top Floor, the Executive Business Lounge are located on the floors above.

Geoffrey's, with its wooden interiors, is a remarkable theme pub. The seating area along the walls is all wooden and a wooden staircase leads up to the L-shaped wooden floored ramp that offers a view of the spherical bar counter that stands in the centre of the hall. Open from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm in the afternoon and from 7:30 pm to 11 pm in the evening, it has a projector screen in one corner, where guests can enjoy sports and music videos.

Adjoining Geoffrey's is Limelight, the coffee shop that remains open round the clock. It serves Indian, Chinese and Continental fare and offers a buffet spread for breakfast (7:30 am - 10:30 am), lunch (12 noon - 3 pm) and dinner (7 pm - 11pm). It has an air conditioned indoor seating area and an outdoor dining area under the shade of gazebos.

Ginseng, the speciality restaurant, serves Oriental cuisine and is open for lunch (12:30 pm - 3:30 pm) and dinner (7:30 pm - 11 pm). It boasts of an oriental decor with tall Chinese vase on each side of the entrance and open Chinese umbrellas on the ceiling. A large statue of Buddha greets you as you enter while Chinese bamboos line the walls of the restaurant. It also has a live Tapenaki counter where guests can enjoy live cooking.

Top Floor - the Executive Business Lounge is open round the clock and offers a great view of the KGA Golf Course. Room service is also available round the clock.

Conferences & Banquets
Conference facilities include three well equipped halls, Autumn, Seasons and Spring. While Autumn can accommodate 80 guests in a theatre style seating arrangement, Seasons can seat up to 300 in the same style of arrangement. Spring, the largest of the three can accommodate up to 350 guests in a theatre style arrangement. To create smaller halls, Autumn as well as Seasons can be divided into two smaller halls each through the use of false partitions.

Hotel Facilities
Recreational facilities include complimentary use of the in-house gymnasium and swimming pool. While the swimming pool, located on the roof top, offers a splendid view of the surrounding area and is open from 7 am to 7 pm, the gymnasium is open from 6 am to 8 pm. On request, guests can also gain access to the neighbouring golf course. Besides this, guests can enjoy cocktail hours every evening at the lounge.

A Business Centre offers facilities like fax, photo copier, courier service, internet access, concierge and secretarial services. Other facilities available at the hotel include a travel desk, car rental service, doctor on call, complimentary Wi-Fi service and same day laundry service. Although the travel desk, bell desk and front desk function round the clock, check-in/check-out hour remains 12 noon.

MG Road (5 Km)

It is one of the busiest roads in the city and is lined with upscale stores, restaurants, pubs, cafes and showrooms. It runs from Trinity Circle to Anil Kumble Circle at the other end. It has an eclectic mix of hotels, offices and old world shops.
