Clifftop Club Hotel Description

A marvel of civil engineering, the Cliif Top Club has been built on inhospitable terrain over years of labour coupled with traditional and innovative techniques. The warm hospitality however belies the inhospitable conditions and provides and experience that is unlike any other. The resort has 41 rooms categorised as Studio, One and Two Bedroom apartments. All units are furnished with a sofa cum bed and partial kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and hob with four burners. All units have a television with satellite connections, telephones and kerosene and oil heat radiators.

Dining
Dining facilities include Al Fresco, the multi cuisine restaurant and Skedoo, the coffee shop cum snack bar. The resort also has an open air barbeque facility. Gala evenings with live entertainment and bonfire nights are also organised for groups.

Hotel Facilities
The hotel has a well equipped conference hall and offers facilities for corporates to host events. Recreational facilities include a Ski school, yoga and meditation classes, board games, snow scooters and children's playground. The resort also organises activities like mountaineering, trekking, nature walks, rock climbing and river rafting. Other facilities available at the resort include a car rental service and laundry service.

Location
The road from Joshimath to Clifftop Club (17 Km) is a steep climb from about 5000 feet to 10,000 feet above sea level. The steep gradient coupled with ice on the road makes it unfit for vehicles other than a sturdy four-wheel drive. During winters (from December end till mid March) the motor road from Joshimath to Auli is not operational due to heavy snowfall. Cable car is the only mode of transportation from Joshimath to Auli.
