Hospitality of staff & management was so good that I felt like at home over there. So I must say, only closest hotel to Taj & best by heart.

Earlier I was a little apprehensive about the hotel services and its location in Tajganj. But it was a pleasant surprise to find a spick and span property, with clean rooms with all facilities. The management and staff were very accommodating and most important, the food was good, not too spicy but just right, even for my daughter. We definitely plan to go back to Agra and stay in this hotel in coming time.

We stayed at Hotel Siddhartha for two nights. The room was spotlessly clean; the bath was clean as well and had an instant geyser. The fittings need an update though. The beds were comfortable, and the pillows adequately firm. The aircon was a manual, and new; TV new. Room service was spotty, but not offensive either. Very polite and accommodating staff. Great view of the Taj Mahal from the roof. The hotel is situated approx 50 meters from the Western Gate. Taxi/auto stand is less than 30 meters away. Surprisingly quiet location. Hotel restaurant was disappointing lack of variety. Small craftmen-owned shops nearby for great bargains. Noise from the other rooms were very disturbing at night. Room got a bit stuffy with the window and bath door shut. There is generator back-up. Get bottled water from the shops nearby. Lots of Turkish and Spanish residents. Do try the Lemon tea with honey at the restaurant (Rs. 10/-), Veg Thali (Rs. 50/-), Aloo-Poorie (Rs. 50), Tomato-Cheese Spaghetti (Rs. 60/-) and Cheese Sandwich (Rs. 30/-). Taxi to hotel (Rs. 150/-) not worth unless carrying loads of luggage. Auto is Rs. 40/-. Monkeys are very friendly. Feed them biscuits. Verdict: Good value for the money.

Good Economical Hotel. Happy with the room service & location. Needs to give more attention on cleaning & power backup since the city is suffering huge power fluctuation problem.
