Day 01 - 13 October 2013 | INDIA : CAIRO

You will meet our local representative who will assist you through passport control and customs formalities before transferring you by private air-conditioned vehicle to the hotel. At the hotel, you will be assisted in checking-in at the hotel so you may proceed to your room.

In the evening, get enthralled by Egypt’s rich history in the form of the Sound & Light
show at the Pyramids of Giza, post which you wil proceed to an Indian restaurant for a
delicious dinner.
Later, retire in the comforts of your hotel room for the night.

Day 02 - 14 October, 2013 | Day Tour ALEXANDRIA

Today, post breakfast, proceed on a full day tour of Alexandria also known as the Pearl of the
Mediterranean. On your day excursion of Alexandria, enjoy such sights as the Pompey’s Pillar, photo stop outside Qaitbay Palace, and Catacombs amongst other attractions.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to Cairo, where you will enjoy a delicious Indian
dinner before retiring for the night in the comfort of you hotel.

Day 03 - 15 October, 2013 | CAIRO to ASWAN

Meals: Breakfast & dinner

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day tour of Cairo, accompanied by an Egyptologist. The tour includes a half day visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Later, you will visit the famous Egyptian Museum, where you will see the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. After this, you will visit one of the most talked about and vibrant shopping districts in the world, the ancient Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, reputed to be largest bazaar in the Middle East. In the evening, you will be transferred to the Cairo Station in time to board your overnight train to Aswan. Enjoy your dinner on board the train.

Day 04 - 16 October, 2013 | ASWAN - NILE CRUISE

Post early breakfast onboard, our representative will help you transfer to your Nile Cruise. The representative will assisst you in dropping the luggage and proceeding for a visit to the High Dam, Philae Temple, and Kom Ombo temple. Today, you board the legendary Nile Cruise.Spend a comfortable overnight stay on the Nile Cruise.

Day 05 - 17 October, 2013 | NILE CRUISE

Today, visit the famous Edfu temple. Edfu was the 2nd name of Upper Egypt and the centre of the cult of a triad of Gods, which consisted of Horus of Behdet, Hathor, and their son, Hor-Sama-Tawy. Edfu was known as Apollinopolis Magna, because the Greeks identified Horus with their God Apollo. Construction work began during the reign of Ptolemy III (about 237 BC) and was finished during the reign of Ptolemy IV.Spend a comfortable overnight stay on the Nile Cruise.

Day 06 - 18 October, 2013 | NILE CRUISE

Places to See

Visit the world-renowned Egyptian Pyramids, such as the Great Pyramids of Giza on the very edge of the city, Sphnix and other hundreds spread across River Nile. There are also ancient temples, tombs, gorgeous Christian churches, magnificent Muslim monuments, and of course, the Egyptian Antiquities Museum: all either within or near the city.

Another must-see is the Cairo Tower, a 187m-high slender tower on an island in the Nile that offers spectacular views of Cairo. If you are tired of visiting historic buildings, just book yourself a 'felucca', an ancient sailboat that has been use on the Nile for centuries. The best time to enjoy a romantic felucca is at night when the city is as bright as the star-lit sky. You must also go on a jeep safari into the desert and enjoy the silence and mystical beauty of the desert. You will never be bored or tired in Cairo. You can safely sum the journey in Cairo as a virtual time travel: from the Pyramids, Saladin's Citadel, the Virgin Mary's Tree, the Sphinx, and Heliopolis, to Al-Azhar Mosque, the Mosque of Amr ibn al-A'as, Saqqara and the Hanging Church.

When to Go: Cairo, part of the Nile River Valley, experiences a desert climate, and can reach highs of 45 °C in the summer. The months of April to October experience an average high of 33 °C, and so the best months to visit Cairo are from November to March, the winter months, when the average high is 25 °C, and the low is 10 °C.

Local Transport: Cairo is one of only two cities on the continent with a metro system. Though there are only two lines as of now, it offers a boon in connectivity in the areas it covers in an otherwise crowded city. It runs from 6 AM to midnight. The old black-&-white taxis in Cairo are another good option, relatively cheap with not much haggling required (metres usually don't work), though you should be prepared with exact change, and choose taxis that are not waiting around 5-star hotels and restaurants. The new yellow taxis usually have their metres in working order. Cairo also has buses that cover the entire city and are much cheaper, but are usually crowded. Air-conditioned buses are also to be found.
