Day 1: Arrival in Zurich - Transfer to Interlaken

Meals: Dinner

Upon arrival in Zurich, transfer to Interlaken using your Swiss Transfer Card. Transfer to the Interlaken hotel on your own as its approx 500 meters away from station. Later part of the day is free to explore Interlaken on your own. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2: Interlaken | Excursion to Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe)

After breakfast, precede for an excursion to Jungfraujoch to Interlaken ost station which is approx 1.2 kms from proposed hotel. With 5 days Swiss transfer card use local trams to reach Interlaken ost station. On reaching station exchange your vouchers at Jungfraujoch counter. Jungfraujoch is the lowest point on the mountain ridge between Monch and Jungfrau, at 3,471 meters (11,388 ft). It is just above it that the mountain station of Jungfraubahn is located, called the Jungfraujoch railway station, which at an elevation of 3,454 meters (11,332 ft), is the highest railway station in Europe. The Jungfraujoch is often called the "Top of Europe" in tourist literature. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Interlaken - Lucerne

After breakfast, proceed to Interlaken Station on your own to board a train to Lucerne. On arrival in Lucerne, transfer to the hotel on your own. Don't forget to use your Swiss transfer Card. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure exploring Lucerne on your own. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4: Lucerne - Mt. Pilatus

After breakfast, visit the Mt. Pilatus. There are several ways to climb this mountain, which has a maximum elevation of 2,132 meters or 6,995 feet: By Cogwheel Railway: The world's steepest rack railway climbs to Pilatus Kulm from Alpnachstad, which you can reach by boat, train, or road from Lucerne. By aerial cable car: From Kriens, a suburb of Lucerne, 4-seater gondolas take you to the Fräkmüntegg, where you transfer to a large cable car that whisks you to the summit station.

Day 5: Lucerne

After breakfast, transfer to Lucerne to board train reaching Salzburg station via Zurich. Transfer to Salzburg hotel on private basis. Rest of the day is free to explore Salzburg on your own. In the evening, Take the opportunity of optional tour and enjoy a romantic 4-course candlelight dinner (pastry with spread / cream of potato soup / stuffed breast of chicken with buttered noodles and seasonal vegetables / Mozart dessert variations) in a restaurant of the 900 year old fortress Hohensalzburg. Afterwards listen to the great Mozart concert either in the Princes' chamber - the most magnificent room in the fortress Hohensalzburg - or in the "castle tavern" with a wonderful view over the city and countryside of Salzburg. The Salzburg fortress concert is one of the largest chambers of music organizations in the world, producing more than 300 concerts annually. Later in the evening enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 6: Salzburg

After breakfast, relive the true story of the Von Trapp family which was filmed as the 'Sound of Music' in the Salzburg area. The tour has been Salzburg's most popular tour for over 20 years. It is a combination of sightseeing in this historical city itself and in the beautiful lakes and mountains area known as the Salzkammergut, which is also a famous musical and cultural centre. The highlights and film locations of the 'Sound of Music', such as the beautiful gardens in Hellbrunn (where Liesl and Rolf sang 'I am 16 going on 17'), and the wedding church in Mondsee are a treat for all fans of the film. At the end of the tour, don't forget to claim your free Edelweiss cocktail at the Jugend und Familiegastehaus close to the Fortress - just ask your guide for directions. Day 7: Salzburg

After breakfast, transfer to Salzburg station to board the train reaching Vienna station. Transfer to the hotel on private basis. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Vienna on your own or opt for the Optional tour Grand Danube River Cruise. In the first half of this cruise, you will pass some of Vienna's most significant buildings Like the Urania observatory, the "Kunsthaus Wien" and the Gasometer building. After passing the modern Hydro Electric power plant Freudenau you will continue to the Reichsbruecke. On the second half of this cruise you will get an unforgettable view of Vienna's tallest buildings - the UNO City, the Danube Tower (252m) and the Millenium Tower (202m). Afterwards you get to appreciate the lock Nussdorf and the Thermal Waste Treatment Plant Spittelau, which has been designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. On the way back you will see the Rossau Barracks, the Vienna Ring Tower and the St. Rupert's Church, which is the oldest religious edifice of the city. You then return to Schwedenplatz. Day 8: Vienna

After breakfast, start your day with Vienna city tour which will introduce you to the the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. We then drive along the Danube Canal and pass by Hundertwasser's 'Kunsthaus' and the Prater Park with its Giant Ferris Wheel. The highlight of this programm is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. Later part of the day is free to explore on your own. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 9: Departure

Famous for its baroque architecture, Salzburg is one of the largest cities in Austria, and is located on the northern boundary of the Alps, by the banks of the Salzach River. It has mountains to the south, and rolling green plains to the north. It is also the birthplace of the musical genius, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Aldstadt, or Old Town, is where the best of the city can be observed, with narrow winding cobblestone lanes in between magnificent mansions and other baroque edifices. This is also the city where the famous movie, The Sound of Music, was shot. The Hohensalzburg Fortress looms over the city atop a mountain, and climbing its walls is a truly delightful experience, rewarding you with a view of the city with the river winding through and the Alps beyond.
