Sigiriya Water Gardens
The Gardens of the Sigiriya are some of the oldest landscaped gardens in the world, and are truly awesome to behold. The gardens are divided into three distinct forms: water gardens, Cave and boulder gardens, and terraced gardens. Seen above are the water gardens, which are located in the central section of the western precinct. There are three main water gardens, one is an island surrounded by water, another has deep pools, and the third contains a large, octagonal pool.
