DAY 1: ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH
Upon your arrival in Christchurch - The Garden City, you will be met by our local representative, and privately transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2: CHRISTCHURCH - DUNEDIN
After breakfast today, you will travel south across the Canterbury Plains through the towns of Timaru and Oamaru to reach the Scottish-influenced city of Dunedin, which is renowned for the Otago Universtiy and the natural history of the region.

DAY 3: DUNEDIN - TE ANAU
After breakfast this morning, you will be free to enjoy the many option activities in Dunedin before departing for Te Anau, crossing the Southland Plains and the towns of Balclutha and Gore.

DAY 4: TE ANAU - MILFORD SOUND - QUEENSTOWN
After breakfast today, you will proceed towards beautiful Milford Sound, crossing lovely Eglinton Valley and the breathtaking man-made Homer Tunnel. At Milford Sound, you will enjoy a cruise on the world famous fiord, which is dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. In the evening, you will proceed to Queenstown.

DAY 5: QUEENSTOWN
After breakfast, you have the rest of the day to explore the endless optional attractions available in Queenstown, such as bungee jumping, jet-boating, white-water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Note - Optional activities not included in the tour price.

DAY 6: QUEENSTOWN - MT COOK - CHRISTCHURCH
After breakfast today, you will travel through the Central Otago region and onto the small town of Twizel, before continuing north and following the shores of Lake Pukaki to Mt Cook (also known as Aoraki - The Cloud-Piercer), which is New Zealand's highest peak. You will also visit the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo before travelling across the Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch, where you shall spend the night.

Christchurch Avon River
The River Avon, known as Otakaro or Putare Kamutu in Maori, is a river located in Christchurch that flows from West to East through the city from its source in Avonhead. It flows into the Pacific Ocean via an estuary near Sumner. It was names by John Deans in 1848, after the River Avon in Scotland.
