Day 1: Arrival Beijing

Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be met our local guide, and transferred to your hotel. After a good rest in your hotel, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at an Indian restaurant. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel.
Day 2: Beijing
Meals: Breakfast & dinner
After breakfast this morning, you will proceed on a sightseeing tour of Beijing, beginning with the biggest public square in the world, Tian'anmen Square, which will conquer you with its grandeur at the first sight. You will then proceed to the Forbidden City. It has been the imperial palace for 24 Emperors during Ming and Qing Dynasties and is the biggest ancient architecture complex in the world. You will also visit the museum, to see with your eyes, to touch with your hands and feel with your hearts. In the afternoon, you continue your trip to the Temple of Heaven, which stands the color of sky. You will feel the perfect harmony between the architecture and nature and the circle of the peace spirit of the Chinese people. You could even imagine the vivid pictures of a great sacrifice to Heaven for good harvest through the description of local guide. Afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at an Indian restaurant. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel.
Day 3: Beijing

After breakfast, you will be driven 75 km to see the Great Wall of China at Badaling. A symbol of China and the fortitude of its people, it is very unbelievable that the Chinese succeeded in building such a great architecture with very simple tools in ancient times. Afterwards, you will visit the Ming Tombs (Changling Tomb), which consist of 13 tombs of the Emperors of the Ming Dynasty after the capital was moved from Nanjing to Beijing. This is unique as it is the only huge palace made of camphor wood. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious dinner at an Indian restaurant. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel room.
Day 4: Beijing - Xian

After breakfast, you will proceed on a half-day tour of Hutong by rickshaw, visiting the ancient lanes and alleyways of Beijing. The half-day Hutong Tour reflects the lives of ordinary Chinese as well as the history of Beijing as a whole. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Xi'an. Upon your arrival in Xi'an, you will proceed to check in to your hotel. Afterwards, you will enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel room.
Day 5: Xian

After breakfast, you will proceed for a full day tour of Xi'an, which will inlcude a variety of monuments and attractions in China's richest historic area, such as the amazing Museum of the Terracotta Warriors, which is very famous for the great underground army of the First Emperor of China, buried together with him 2200 years ago and discovered only in 1974. It is one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Afterwards, you will enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel room.
Day 6: Xian - Guilin

After breakfast, you will proceed to visit the City Walls of Xi'an. It is the most complete city wall that has survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. You willl then visit teh Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a holy place for Buddhists. In the afternoon you will proceed to the Xi'an airport to board your flight to Guilin. In Guilin, you will enjoy your dinner at a Chinese restaurant with some excellent local cuisine.
Day 7: Guilin

After breakfast, you will proceed to the Zhujiang Pier for your Li River Cruise. You will enjoy seeing the landscape from Guilin to Yangshuo, which is a masterpiece of nature. After you disembark in the Western influenced town of Yangshuo, you will tour West Street, which earns from the fact that almost everyone in West Street can speak fluent English and every restaurant or bar offers menus in several languages. You will feel no boarder and distance here and fall in love with the town at the first sight. Moreover, it is filled with small shops and vendor stands selling different kinds of souvenirs, which are the best gifts for your friends and relatives. Afterwards, you will return to Guilin by the late afternoon. You will try the local delicacy of a banquet of Rice Noodles for dinner. Spend the night in the comfort of your hotel.
Day 8: Guilin - Shanghai

After breakfast, you will proceed for a half day visit to Elephant Trunk Hill, which is a huge rock formation of an elephant created by the confluence of the Yang and Li rivers, which looks as if its trunk is dipping into the water. The next wonder to visit is the Reed Flute Cave, which is named after a certain kind of reed grown near the carve gate, which is used for making a flute instrument. In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Shanghai, where you will check in to your hotel upon your arrival. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Day 9: Shanghai

After breakfast, you will proceed to the famous Buddhist shrine of the Jade Buddha Temple. You will then visit the Yuyuan Garden, which has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools, and flora that are all connected by corridors and passageways. Afterwards, you will begin your shopping trip will begin on Nanjing Road, which runs westward from the Bund, and has the People's Square in the middle. Shopping heaven, Nanjing Road has the reputation of being the 'First Commercial Road in China'. Some of the most traditional foods and handicrafts of Shanghai can be found here. Afterwards you will visit the waterfront district of the Bund, and after that, visit the Oriental TV Tower for the view at the height of 468 metres.

Whether it is sampling the amazing snacks at Dong'anmen Night Market, sipping drinks on Lotus Lane, or chilling out on quiet shores of Kunming Lake, Beijing will not let you get bored. The monolithic scale of the monuments and buildings cannot be ignored however, and taking in Beijing's sights is a must. However, pace yourselves well, as the list of these is long. Start with the Gate of Heavenly Peace, and move on to Tiananmen Square. There find the Great Hall of the People, the Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of the Chinese Revolution. Move on to check out the Zhengyang Men, Chairman Mao's Mausoleum and the formidable Arrow Tower, all of which together are known as the Front Gate. Other must see sights are the Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven Park, and Legation Street. If you have time, also try to visit the Underground City, a huge warren of bombproof tunnels now used as place for hotels, restaurants and warehouses. You can also take an hour long bus ride to the Great Wall of China at Badaling, and see one of man's seven wonders.
Chinese food is of course unforgettable, and the variety and types of the not easily procured elsewhere authentic cuisines that are available in Beijing are mind-numbing and palate titillating. Don't forget to try specialities like Beijing Roast Duck (served with thin pancakes, plum sauce, and slivers of scallions and cucumbers), and Lamb or Vegetarian Hotpot, where raw ingredients are purchased by the plate, and dipped into steaming, savoury soup until cooked. So, cycling might help lose a few pounds after over-indulgence, but you can always take the numerous and efficient taxis and tricycle rickshaws if you want a paunch as a souvenir.
