Cochin Travel Packages
Previously known as Cochin, Kochi is the second biggest city of Kerala state. Situated in Ernakulam district, the city is one of the important seaports of India. Often referred to as the ?Gateway to Kerala?, the picturesque city is flanked on its western side by the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats on eastern side. Next, head towards the Mattancherry area, where you can see the massive Dutch Palace and Jewish Synagogue. Bolghatty Palace, set on Bolghatty Island is another must visit place during your Kochi holidays. Right in the heart of the city is Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary, where you can spot numerous exotic and rare avian species, including both residents and migratory birds. Also visit the man-made island Willington Island and the museums, namely Museum of Kerala History and Parikshits Thampuran Museum. While on Kochi trip, visitors can stroll along the Marine Drive, especially during late afternoon or dusk. Take an excursion to Veega Land, an amusement park, about 14 km away from Kochi. Don?t forget to enjoy a boat ride through the serene backwaters of Kochi. Close to Kochi, Hill Palace at Tripunithura (16 km) and Palliport Fort at Pallipuram are other places of historic importance.
