It is bordered by two rivers, Chambal and Banas, which are the lifeline of the area. During the dry summers, pools formed on the river beds serve as the best place for animal sightings. For those who like tranquility, the 200 km safari on four different trails, presents an amazing assortment of resident and migratory birds and animals in Ranthambore National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. Visitors need to adhere to the Forest Department's fixed timings for the morning and afternoon safaris of three hours each.
Morning safari times in winter are usually 7:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., while in summer, it's 6:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. The evening safari times in winter are 4 P.M. to 6:30 P.M., while in summer it's 3 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
