INFINITY RESORT

City: Corbett
Location The resort is 9 kms from the Ramnagar railway station and 6 km from the bus stand. The Dhikala gate of the Tiger Reserve is 12-14 kms away and the Bijrani gate is 7 kms away.
A wide boulevard of trees leads you to a spacious porch painted in muted shades of coffee and cream. Funky, asymmetrical bamboo frames stand out against white walls and maroon, gabled roofs. Beyond, you can see dense greenery, stone structures and a wood machan. In a nutshell, even before you set foot inside Infinity Resorts, you are taken. The lobby has wood panelled flooring and carved, cushioned chairs. An elephant stands guard nearby, ready to take the guests on a safari. The resort is populated by groves of mango trees and crisscrossed by artificial waterways. Birds chirp here, the water gurgles and the plants have their names written on wooden planks.
Rooms The resort has 32 air conditioned rooms categorised into Luxury and Deluxe rooms. The Luxury rooms are done up beautifully in contrasting shades of mud and ochre with jute chiks adorning the windows. A wide attached balcony looks over to the pool and beyond it, the river valley. There are comfortable couches in the room. Amenities include tea/coffee maker, telephone, a quaint writing desk made of dark wood and room heater. There is round the clock room service. The en suite washroom has a glass partitioned shower area, geyser and fresh towels. Bath amenities include talc, moisturiser, soap, shampoo and shower cap. The Deluxe rooms have the same amenities, they are only smaller and there is no glass partition in the washrooms.
Dining The resort's multi cuisine restaurant, Gol Ghar, is round in shape, made of wood and stone. The high ceiling has wooden beams that crosscut each other and give way to a skylight. The seating arrangement is also positioned around the centre, asymmetrical couches that through the circumference. A little alcove in a corner has more couches, shelves of books and wildlife anecdotes on the walls. The Gol Ghar leads you to the deck, the outside seating jetty which overlooks the vista of the mountains and the river valley. The adjoining bar serves a variety of spirits.
Hotel Facilities With its Safari Desk managed by a team of naturalists, the hotel can make arrangements for your jungle safari. This is also the only property in the region to have a full fledged medical centre with a resident doctor and an ambulance. The peanut shaped 'Mahaseer' swimming pool is a delight to splash in, as it gives you an uninterrupted view of the river valley, the mountain sloping down where the pool ends. Pool services are chargeable, Rs. 20 per guest. The resort's activity centre has games such as bridge, cards, chess, table tennis, carom, darts and a jungle gym for children. The wildlife library in the 'Gol Ghar' restaurant is well stocked and the resort also arranges slide shows, wildlife films and cultural programmes in the restaurant. Other outdoor activities on offer include river jumping, grappling, angling and river rafting. The garden has swings for children. The conference hall can accommodate 100 guests in theatre style and 80 guests in U-shape. The restaurant has a capacity of 250-300 guests. Other facilities include car parking, laundry services and car rental.
Note The hotel is partly under renovation.
