"I went to this hotel because of the discount offered by MakeMyTrip. I booked a superior room & it was worth the money paid. But the food & beverage is too expensive & not up to the mark. I ordered for a bottle of wine & they served a local wine & they charged me a fortune for it. Poor ambience as far as restaurent goes. Over all an OK hotel to stay."

"The best thing about the hotel is the location - right on the beach. However, for a little more money, you can get much better hotels in Goa. The rooms had seen better days and the furniture was very old and worn. There was no safe in the room and the minibar was not stocked. While the hotel advertised continental menus, the choice was very limited. Having said that, the seafood at the restaurant was excellent. The hotel advertised having a pool bar and a beach bar, but neither of these appeared to be opened and indeed, when asking for a drink at the pool, I was told it was not possible and I ended up having to go back to my room and order water on room service so I could get a drink. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Personally, I felt the hotel was over priced for the services available and standard of the facilities and in future will pay a small amount extra to get much better service."

"The hotel is having taxi income as priority it appears. Costliest in India, I have ever used. In a jungle, eat food they give and travel in a car they give that too at high cost."

"Food was very expensive and not really worth the money in terms of quality and variety. There should be some more convenient way of going into town from office other than the cabs which are extremely expensive. Nice, laid back atmosphere at the hotel, courteous staff. Overall a good experience.  "

A long driveway leads you to the Varca Le Palms Beach Resort, part of the Usha Sriram Group of Hotels. It houses 16 superior rooms, 10 pool villas, 30 garden villas and 4 pool villa suites spread across 14 acres of lush lawns and sandy shores.
Resembling a Portuguese villa from the outside, the lobby area has natural light streaming in through large bay windows. A little away from the lobby is a line of souvenir and handicrafts shops.
Rooms
The staircase going up from the lobby area takes you to the superior rooms, which are the base category rooms of the hotel. The rooms are air-conditioned and have a dressing table, a seating area, a wardrobe and an attached bathroom with a shower area, hot and cold running water and toiletries including soap, shampoo, moisturizer and talcum powder being provided. In-room facilities include a telephone, television, filtered drinking water and an umbrella for rainy days!
Across the main lawn, a pathway leads you to the garden villas at a slight elevation and the pool villas below by the poolside. Both rooms are equipped with twin or double beds and like the superior rooms, are air-conditioned, have a dressing table, a seating area, a wardrobe and an attached bathroom. The in-room amenities offered are more comprehensive and include a minibar and tea/coffee maker. The pool suites have two conjoining rooms with one being a living area and the other being a bedroom.
Facilities
Other guest services and facilities at Varca Le Palms Beach Resort include 24-hour room service, laundry service, safety deposit locker facility at the reception and a travel desk. Recreational facilities include an Ayurveda massage centre, a swimming pool, beach volleyball, water sports, tennis, table tennis and a host of indoor games. Dining
The Resort has 5 food and beverage outlets. While swimming, guests can swim up to the Splash Bar to quench their thirst. Du Jardin is an outdoor cafe where breakfast and dinner is offered. It also offers a multi cuisine fare including Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Neil's Cabana with its high wooden beamed roof is the beachside shack and bar that can accommodate up to 200 people. Feni, named after the local cashew drink, is a private dining deck for up to 8 people on the beach. Waves with its bright blue exterior and slate roof is a circular bar right on the beach that remains open from 11 am till 6 pm. Along with serving a variety of cocktails, a snack menu is also available. If you prefer not to wine and dine on your sun bed, Waves has a patio like seating with furniture that resembles logs of wood.
