Day 1: Mumbai - Ganpatipule
Depart from Mumbai to Ganpatipule. Check in to your hotel upon arrival. Visit Ganpatipule Ganesh Temple and enjoy some free time to spend on beach. One can opt for a Pradakshina around the small hillock behind temple. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Ganpatipule.

After breakfast, take an excursion to Ratnagiri via Arrey Warrey, one of the most scenic road travel parallel to coast & through local fishermen villages. Visit Bhagwati Fort & Temple, Beach, and Bhatye Creek. One can shop homemade food products in Ratnagiri. Drive back to Ganpatipule by evening. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Ganpatipule
On the western coastline of Maharashtra lies the small village of Ganapatipule. Serene and relatively unsullied, this village is home to the ancient Swayambhu Ganapati Temple.
Ganapatipule is an ancient pilgrim centre with a Swayambhu, a naturally formed idol of Ganapati built on pule or white sand, being the main attraction here. Considered to be a natural phenomenon, the idol is made out of copper and depicts the God astride a lion.
The base of the hill where the Swayambhu Ganapati Temple is located is as sacred as the temple itself. Pilgrims usually perform what is known as pradakshina which means circumambulation or walking in a circle around the idol of the deity or around the temple where the idol is housed, or even around the hill instead of just the temple. During Ganesh Chaturthi, the temple becomes the centre of grand activity in the honour of Lord Ganapati.
Over the years, a number of resorts and hotels have developed in Ganpatipule. Besides pilgrims, sun worshippers and beach lovers find the pristine shoreline along the Konkan coast much too tempting to pass up.
