Day 1: Arrival in Chennai

Day 2: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram (60 kms/ 1.5 hours drive)

Today, visit the great Brihadeshwara Temple in Tanjore, which is considered to be one of the most magnificent Chola Temples in India, standing erect in the temple city. Visit the Art Gallery and Saraswati Mahal library houses in the Tanjore Palace. After lunch in Tanjore, drive to Madurai - a centuries-old centre of learning and pilgrimage. Thereafter, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 8: Madurai sightseeing tour | Departure

Today, enjoy a sightseeing tour of this bustling pilgrimage city whose life revolves around the great Meenakshi Temple, which dominates the old city. This temple with its Gopurams (pyramidal gateway towers) is covered with a profusion of multi- coloured images of mystical figures, animals and gods. Also visit Tirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum. Later in the afternoon, check out of the hotel and drive to Madurai railway station/airport for onward journey.

"Our stay at the hotel for 2 nights was comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. Complimentary breakfast was good. The food at Nala restaurant was also good but they need to improve their service here as it took them almost 45 mins to bring our food. Overall good property."

" The hotel is located near a bus stand and the location is very noisy (literally noisy). The room was quite spacious, airy and was comfortable. The staff was always ready to help but seems like there was a shortage of staff on 25th night and 26th morning as hotel seemed to be full and the staff was not able to manage. Can't label it 'Value for Money', as I feel that the rates should be a bit less. The food quality was Okay, but there are lots of rooms for improvement in food quality. "

"Pondicherry is the place where most of the tourists come to enjoy the beaches and if same goes with you then Hotel Mass might not the right choice. Hotel is near to the Bus Stand and Railway Station but not the beaches. Most of the beaches don't have wash rooms or changing rooms so if you are all wet then go back to the Hotel in the same condition. Rates are quite high as per the ambience and Cleanness of the rooms. If you are on your honeymoon then this might not be the right choice. "

"Well the hotel is by far one of the best accomodations available in the area where it is located. The location is very close to Madurai railway station, in fact walkable even with your luggage. Also very close, even walkable, from Minakshi Temple. If the purpose of visit is visiting the temple, it's best suited. The rooms are good and nicely maintained. The staff is cordial and handles guests well."

"Breakfast should be served little earlier than 7:00am as there are flights, departure time starts at and around 8am. So we couldn't have the complimentary breakfast. They should change it to 6:30 am."
