Day 1: Srinagar

Upon arrival, meet our representative and get transferred to the hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure and enjoy scenic views of mountain ranges around the Dal Lake. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Srinagar - Local sightseeing (27 kms)

Today, visit the famous Mughal Gardens, Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring), Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). These are situated along the banks of the Dal Lake in the heart of Srinagar city & Shankaracharya Temple located on a hillock, thus providing a panoramic view of the entire city, along with the famous Dal Lake & River Jhelum. On the way, visit the handloom centre famous for production of Pashmina/Shahtoosh shawls and carpets. Return and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar (174 kms)

Leave for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, the Meadow of Gold. It is situated at an altitude of 3000 metres above sea level in the north-east of Srinagar. While driving to Sonamarg, enjoy the incredible scenic beauty, dense pine forests and gigantic mountains. Sonamarg is a popular point for mountaineers and rock climbers, besides being an important halt on the way to Kargil (Ladakh). It provides an ideal base for various trekking routes, high mountains, lakes, glaciers & also the Amarnath holy shrine. In the evening, return to hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4: Srinagar - Pahalgam (96 kms)

After breakfast, leave for Pahalgam (96 kms), which is situated at an altitude of 2130 metres above sea level in the south-east of Srinagar. It is the most popular resort in Kashmir, surrounded by high mountains, dense forests and lakes. (Local activities like skiing, pony trails, angling (rainbow & brown trout, horse riding, trekking (both hard & soft) and excursions to places like Aru valley and Chandanwari (route to holy cave), to be done on direct payment basis). Check-in at the hotel and after lunch; explore the scenic surroundings. Stay overnight at the hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 5: Pahalgam - Gulmarg (148 kms)

Today, leave for Gulmarg, situated at an altitude of 2730 metres above sea level with snow-capped mountains all around. You can also enjoy a view of the Nanga Parbat on a clear sunny day. It is one of the best Ski resorts and boasts of one of the world's highest 18-hole golf courses. You can also enjoy a cable car ride up to Alpather via Kongdori (Asia's longest run cable car ride of approx. 5 kms). Later, return to your hotel in Gulmarg and stay there overnight.

Day 6: Gulmarg - Departure

Transfer to Srinagar airport to board your scheduled flight for your return journey.

Many rulers left a trace of their rule in Srinagar: Asoka, Vikramaditya, the Moghuls and the Dogra. The echo of the Sufi saints's wisdom still reverberates in Srinagar if you are willing to listen.

Urs at Sufi shrines revisit the saints' teachings on their death anniversary. Rozabal Shrine brings people to its door out of curiosity. It is said to be the tomb of Jesus Christ, a controversial claim. A Shiva temple on the Shankaracharya Hill is where Adi Shankaracharya meditated.

It is easy to forget the harsh reality in the enchanting gardens. The Mughal Gardens are like paradise recreated: Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and Chashma Shahi Gardens. They are all designed to give you a magnificent view of Dal Lake.

Gulmarg

Gulmarg sizzles between the Pir Panjal range and Afarwat Hills in a world of white. The name Gulmarg speaks volumes about the hillside. Gul means flowers in Kashmiri, and the valley is a palette of colours through the year; bouncing buttercups, blushing tulips, cowslips and forget-me-nots carpet the town.

Frequented by great Mughal emperor Jehangir, the valley was first called Gaurimag by shepherds and later in the 16th century it was named Gulmarg by Kashmir King Sultan Yousuf Shah Chak. Such was the beauty and charm of the valley that Emperor Jehangir later visited and collected over 21 species of flowers from the valley. It was in 1927 after the coming of the British that Gulmarg started to develop into a beautiful hill resort. Let's take you to Gulmarg.
