Day 1 : Chennai
Arrive in Chennai and meet our tour executive and take a transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram (60 kms/ 1.5 hours)

Stop enroute at Dakshinachitra cultural centre dedicated to the art, architecture and culture of the Southern Indian states. Continue your journey onto Mahabalipuram, the place renowned for its status of World Heritage Site and relax at the beach side resort.
Day 3 : Mahabalipuram

Go on a morning sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram's seven monolithic temples, each carved from a single granite boulder standing on the seashore. See a huge frieze in the village, known as Arjuna's Penance, which is cut on to a flat granite rock face. Spend the afternoon at leisure for independent activities and shopping. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Mahabalipuram.
Day 4 : Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry (132kms/ 4 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry, the former French colony. The town still retains a French influence in its architecture, surroundings and planning. Enjoy your stay at the Beach Resort.
Day 5 : Pondicherry

After breakfast, visit the Aurobindo Ashram founded by a Bengali philosophe, Sri Aurobindo, in the early 20th century. You can visit Auroville or relax on the beach in the afternoon. Relax overnight at Pondicherry.
Day 6 : Pondicherry - Tanjore (180 kms/ 5 hours)

Drive via the temple towns of Chidambaram and Kumbakonam to Tanjore to stay at the Ideal River Resort, which is situated overlooking the Cauvery River on the outskirts of the town.
Day 7 : Tanjore - Trichy (68 kms/ 1.5 hours)

Explore the vicinity rich in South Indian temple architecture. Visit the great Brihadeshwara Temple in Tanjore, which is considered to be one of the most magnificent Chola temples in India, standing in the temple city. Visit the Art Gallery and Saraswati Mahal library houses in the Tanjore Palace.
Day 8 : Trichy - Madurai (142 kms/ 3.5 hours)

Visit the Rock Fort Temple, The Trichy/ Tiruchirapalli skyline is dominated by it. Also visit Sri Rangam, a superb temple complex spread over an island in the Cauvery River. The Sri Ranganathaswami Temple dedicated to Vishnu is one of the biggest temples in India. After lunch drive to Madurai, a centre of learning, and pilgrimage for many centuries. Have an overnight stay at the hotel in Madurai.
Day 9 : Madurai

Life in this bustling pilgrimage city is centred around the great Meenakshi Temple, which dominates the old city. This temple with its gopurams (pyramidal gateway towers) is covered with a profusion of multi coloured images of mystical figures, animals and gods. Also visit Tirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum. Have an overnight stay at the hotel in Madurai.
Day 10 : Madurai

After breakfast, take a transfer at Madurai Airport/ railway station.
