ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN COCHIN

Arrive at the Cochin International Airport, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Check into hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Cochin.

DAY 2: COCHIN - MUNNAR (140 KMS/ 4 HOURS)

After breakfast, go on a sightseeing tour of Cochin that includes a visit to Fort Cochin, Santa Cruz Basilica, Dutch Palace at Mattancherry and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Proceed to Munnar after that. This hill station of Kerala is famous for its tea gardens and estates. Take a transfer to the hotel on arrival. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy the picturesque landscapes. Overnight stay at hotel in Munnar.

DAY 3: MUNNAR

After breakfast, go on a sightseeing tour in and around Munnar. Enjoy panoramic views of Anaimudi, the highest peak of South India at 2695 metres from Munnar. Visit the Christ Church and go to the Eravikulam National Park (16 km) to spot wildlife. Continue to Rajamala Hills lying adjacent to the Park and stop by at Madupetty Dam, a famous picnic spot offering boating and horse riding facilities (on your own). Overnight stay at hotel in Munnar.

DAY 4: MUNNAR - KOTTAYAM(151KMS /4-5 HOURS)

After breakfast, drive to Kottayam to enjoy the scenic backwaters of Kerala. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy walks in the jade environs of the backwaters. Overnight stay at hotel in Kottayam.

DAY 5: KOTTAYAM

Spend the day doing leisurely things. Enjoy a boat ride into the countryside, a visit to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and indulge in adventurous activities like water sports - water skiing or canoeing at the lake (on your own). Overnight stay at hotel in Kottayam.

DAY 6: KOTTAYAM- COCHIN (75 KMS/ 2.5 HOURS)

After breakfast, take a transfer to Cochin to go to the airport and board the connecting flight for return journey.

Explore this dainty town of tiled bungalows and antiques warehouses. The city, founded in 1341 is divided into three distinct districts - the modern Ernakulam and the atmospheric Fort Cochin and Mattancherry, which form prime attractions.

Don't Miss
The quaint, cobbled streets of Fort Cochin lead to spice bazaars, ancient mansions and charming Chinese fishing nets. The promenade near the jetty is dotted with eateries and curio shops.

MUNNAR

Munnar wins you over with its tea, pepper, coffee and cardamom estates. The tea gardens run down rolling slopes, covering them in a blanket of effervescent green. Ana Mudi, the highest peak in South India, flanks the town. Visit Eravikulam National Park to spot some beautiful flora and fauna, including the Tahr, an endangered species of mountain goats, as well as langurs and sambars.

The most popular amongst all the festivals of Munnar remains the Nehru Trophy Boat Race held in the month of August. Pavilions are set up for the spectators on the banks and in the middle of Punnamada Lake the venue of the race. There are separate races for women and the race begins with a colorful pageant of floats performing arts and decorated boats and goes on late into the evening.

KOTTAYAM

Sandwiched between the lofty and mighty Western Ghats on one end and the Vembanad Lake on the other, Kottayam offers backwater stretches, lush paddy fields, highlands, hills and hillocks, extensive rubber plantations historic and places associated with many legends.

Don't Miss
Vembanad Lake is an enchanting picnic spot where you can go wild boating, fishing and sight seeing. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is an ornithologist's paradise and a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Our suggestion is to cruise along the Vembanad Lake and get a first hand experience of the sanctuary.
