ITINERARY

DAY 1: JAIPUR

On arrival in Jaipur, check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure to explore the vibrant colourful city.

DAY 2: JAIPUR

In the morning, proceed for a city tour to commence with Amber Fort. (Elephant ride or jeep ride on direct payment basis). En route, enjoy a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal - the palace of wind. Later, visit the City Palace and finally visit Jantar-Mantar, the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh-II.

DAY 3: JAIPUR-BIKANER (310 KMS. / APPROX. 7 HOUR DRIVE)

Enjoy a drive from the lush green Aravalli Hills surrounded Jaipur to the rugged desert city of Bikaner. On arrival, check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure or explore the bustling local markets.

DAY 4: BIKANER

In the morning, visit the magnificent Junagarh Fort, built in red sandstone. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to the famous Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke, the only temple in India where rats are revered.

Return journey to Jaipur.

BIKANER

Bikaner's history dates back to 1486 A.D. when Rao Jodhaji challenged his son to establish his own kingdom. Rao Bika chose the barren wilderness for his dwelling and the city soon became a thriving trade centre because of its location on the caravan route. Today, encounter antiquity in the old city surrounded by high walls and feast your eyes upon ancient forts, palaces and intricately carved havelis.
