ITINERARY

DAY 1: TRIVANDRUM - KANYAKUMARI

Arrive at Trivandrum airport / railway station and take a transfer to Kanyakuamri by surface (approx. 87 kms / 3 hrs). Enroute visit Sri PadmanabhaTemple. Arrive in Kanyakumari and check-in to your hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: KANYAKUMARI

Early morning watch the beautiful sunrise and in the afternoon, visit the Viveknanda Temple, Rock etc. In the evening, watch the orange sunset. Stay overnight in Kanyakumari.

In the morning, depart for Trivandrum Airport / railway station for onward journey.

The southern most tip of the Indian sub continent, Kanyakumari's history is as deep as th deep blue waters of the ocean around it. Known as 'Alexandria of the East' once upon a time, it was one of the great centres for learning, art, and culture. The influence of the Cholas, Cheras, Pandyas and Nayak rulers are evident in the temples and monuments in the area.

Don't Miss
The Kumari Amman Temple dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari, or the youthful form of the primeval energy Shakti (Mother Goddess) is located on the seashore here. Spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda meditated here and today, a memorial stands in his honour. Gandhi Memorial and Suchindram Temple are other places which are worth a visit.
