"I travelled to Amritsar with a 3 point agenda. To see the Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh and the Wagah Border all in one day. I drove down from Chandigarh and reached Amritsar at around 12.30 pm. Immediately checked in at the hotel and then went for a darshan at the Golden Temple. The best part of the hotel is LOCATION! LOCATION! AND LOCATION! You just can't beat the location. It is located in the parking area of the Golden Temple. It is a good clean hotel with good facilities. However, in my room, the maintenance was poor. The door latch was broken, bathroom rack nearly fell on my wife's head and the tv plug was loose. But for 1500 it's worth the money just for the location itself. I was able to visit the Golden Temple 3 times in one day despite seeing the other two attractions I mentioned above. Jalianwala Bagh is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Wagah border is approx. 27 kms from Amritsar so that takes about an hour's drive which is similar from any hotel. "

"Location is excellent if you intend to visit the hotel. The front desk did not accept credit card for food / beverages expenses on check-out though the room was booked via credit card from internet site. (MakeMyTrip.com)."
