Bodhgaya is the holy place where Gautam Buddha attained Nirvana or Enlightenment. The Mahabodhi Temple, built by Ashoka almost 250 years after Buddha attained salvation is an architectural splendour here.
Don't Miss ...the Bodhi Tree, which is probably the fifth succession of the original tree under which Buddha, attained enlightenment.
