DAY 1 : ARRIVE IN PARO
Meet our representative & receive assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, take a stroll around Paro market and town. Overnight stay at Hotel Olathang or similar in Paro.

DAY 2 : PARO
In the morning, visit Drukgyel Dzong (dzong = fortress/monastery), the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese repelled several invasion attempts by Tibetan armies. On a clear day, there is a splendid view of Mt. Chomolhari from the approach road to this Dzong. Later in the day, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, the fortress which has a long and fascinating history. In the evening, visit Kyichu Lhakhang (lhakhang = temple).

DAY 3 : PARO - THIMPHU (55 KM, 2 HOURS)
In the morning, drive to Thimphu. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the kingdom, which now houses the School for Religious and Cultural Studies. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure for shopping. Overnight stay at Hotel Phuntsho Pelri / Hotel Wangchuk or similar in Thimphu.

DAY 4 : THIMPHU
In the morning, drive to BBS Tower for fascinating view of Thimphu valley and later visit Mini Zoo, Anim Dratshang (nunnery), National Library, a handmade paper factory & Memorial Chorten (stupa). During the afternoon, as the time permits, visit School of Arts & Crafts, Textile & Folk Heritage Museum, Zangtho Pelri Lhakahng (lhakhang = temple) and Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight stay at Hotel Phuntsho Pelri / Hotel Wangchuk or similar in Thimphu.

DAY 5 : THIMPHU - PUNAKHA (75 KM, 2 & 1/2 HOURS)
In the morning, drive to Punakha. En route, take a short break at Dochula pass (3,080 m) that heralds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. During the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten (chorten = stupa). Enjoy the evening at leisure in fascinating Punakha valley. Overnight stay at Hotel Zangtho Pelri or similar in Punakha.

DAY 6 : PUNAKHA - WANGDUEPHODRANG - PARO (145 KM, 5 HOURS)
