From the highway, one has to head towards the Vainguinim Valley, Dona Paula. The road curves its way to the parking lot of the resort. A dark glass building amidst manicured lawns greets you, giving you a majestic feel. This is highlighted further as one reaches the entrance. The reception lies on the right and an atrium on the left with royal chairs and tables making a lovely seating arrangement. Huge paintings behind the reception in brown adds a classic touch.
Dining
The Chances Cafe is behind the hall, overlooking plush gardens, where a sumptuous buffet breakfast is served. The Pan Asian is a favourite for those with Oriental taste buds. Goldrush, the multi cuisine restaurant is known for its gaming resort theme. Barbeque with evening music are one of the many highlights of the day for the guests residing there. The decor everywhere is simple and classic, with various shades of brown interwoven.
Rooms
Briefly called V.V.R., it houses 8 Suites, 21 Superior rooms (270 sq ft) and 23 Deluxe rooms (305 sq ft). In addition, a separate Presidential Suite of 800 sq ft arcs above the rest. The Suite begins with an impressive entrance, a comfortable interconnecting room and a cozy bedroom. The carpeted living room is furnished with sofas, a centre table, a study table, decorative lampshades and paintings that adorn the wall. The bedroom has a master bed with a side table, where the complimentary basket of fruits, tray of cookies and wine is placed. Other furnishings and amenities include the mini bar, refrigerator, cupboard, dressing table, telephone and tea/coffee maker. The Superior rooms are divided into two categories - those having twin beds and others having double beds. Spacious and well appointed, they enjoy a small balcony and the garden view. The Deluxe rooms are well furnished with a television, sitting arrangement adjacent to the window side for a garden view, a table, cushy sofas and a desk. Bathroom amenities include shampoo, moisturiser, soap and bath foam. The balcony though small can accommodate two chairs and a table for a cozy meal or coffee overlooking the beautiful lawns.
Facilities
The assets of V.V.R. are aplenty as the sedate conference hall, multi-hued swimming pool, poolside rest area, extravagant poolside bar, splendid Jacuzzi, massage center, steam and sauna and the gym. Not to forget that this is one of the places known for its casino. Guests can play on a variety of gaming machines such as SEGA Royal Ascot, American Roulette, Digital Playback or Classic Blackjack, Slot Reel Machines and Poker Machines.
For guests staying to get an edge over business, the conference hall and business centers serve well. The conference hall can comfortably seat around 100 people and has all the technology required for well-equipped boardroom meetings and conventions. One has choices for seating arrangements and venues as the rooftop terrace, garden, swimming pool deck; U shaped seating and Theatre style seating for gatherings and meetings. Other facilities include travel assistance, doctor on call and Internet/STD/FAX facilities.
Vainguinim Valley Resorts has this interplay of fun, seriousness, style, simplicity, Goan and most important Indian and a royal air.
Location
At neither extreme nor tilting, but playing the perfect balance between north and south, Vainguinim Valley Resort is located at the center of Goa. 8 ms from Panjim, 30 kms from the airport, 25 kms from Calangute and 15 kms from Karmali railway station, the resort is easily accessible.
