A vast expanse of carpeted rolling hills lined with flowers offering a variation of colours seen only in paintings, Gulmarg is truly nature's canvas, living up to its name, the 'Meadow of Flowers'. While it's accessible throughout the year, Gulmarg serves as a premier ski resort during winter when it is frequented by skiers and travellers from around the world.
Don't Miss Gulmarg is the hub for adventure sports with the popular activities being skiing, snowboarding, trekking and of course, a round of golf at an altitude of 2,650 m, definitely the highest golf course in the country if not the world. If adventure isn't really your passion, enjoy a short trek or walk along the saucer shaped meadow. A must do, is to enjoy a Gondola ride on Asia's highest and longest cable car project. While in Gulmarg, also visit the tomb of Baba Reshi in Tanmarg.

Then there is Hajan, a popular picnic spot, on the way to Chandanwari. Hajan is a popular shooting location for the Indian film industry. The hill station of Pahalgam has eight tiny villages inside it. One of the villages is Mamal, which houses an ancient Shiva temple dating back to the 5th century. Chandanwari, 16 km from Pahalgam, serves as the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.
