DAY 1: BANGALORE

On arrival at Bangalore airport / railway station, get assistance and transfer to hotel. Check into your hotel. In the afternoon proceed on half day city tour of Bangalore. Visit attractions such as Bull Temple, Mysore Arts & Crafts Centre, Commercial Street, Vidhana Soudha and Lal Bagh. Overnight stay at hotel in Bangalore.

DAY 2: BANGALORE - MYSORE (143 KMS / APPROX 3 HOUR DRIVE)

Today, after breakfast you will drive to Mysore. Enroute visit Srirangpattanam - the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. On arrival check into your hotel. In the evening visit the Brindavan gardens. Overnight stay at hotel in Mysore.

DAY 3: MYSORE

After breakfast in the morning proceed on an excursion to visit one of the best-preserved Hoysala Temples at Somnathpur. Afternoon at leisure for independent activities. Overnight stay at hotel in Mysore.

DAY 4: MYSORE - COORG (180 KMS / APPROX 5 HOUR DRIVE)

Today, after breakfast in the hotel drive to Coorg. On arrival check into your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Coorg.

DAY 5: COORG

After breakfast depart from half day tour to coffee plantations, orange orchards and paddy field. Reach Mercara, the largest town in Coorg. Overlooking the town is a sprawling fortress built by the Rajas of Coorg on a hill. Nearby stands a temple of Lord Omkareswara (one of the twelve Joytirling), which shows an unusual combination of the Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture. Overnight stay at hotel in Coorg.

DAY 6: COORG - OOTY (250 KMS / APPROX 7 HOUR DRIVE)

Today, in the morning your picturesque journey continues into the blue Nilgiri hills, past tea plantations to Ooty. On arrival check into your hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Ooty.

DAY 7: OOTY

After breakfast, you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the 'Queen of the Blue Mountains', that includes a visit to Dodabetta peak for a spectacular view. Later drive to Coonoor and visit Sims Park and 'Dolphin' nose point. In the afternoon visit the Botanical Garden and the famous Ooty lake. Overnight stay at hotel in Ooty.

DAY 8: OOTY - COIMBATORE (95 KMS / APPROX. 3 HOUR DRIVE)

Today, transfer to Coimbatore airport or railway station for your onward journey.

Greener than green, this verdant region is redolent with the aromas of coffee and cardamom. Relatively undiscovered, and one of the most beautiful areas of Southern India, there is nothing much to do in Coorg, but to relax in the untouched surroundings.

Set in the heart of the exotic coffee-growing country, this little hill township is considered as the capital of the Coorg region. The town, which is set on a series of ridges that command breathtaking views, was an unassuming state in its own right till a few decades ago. The Friday Market at Madikeri has a surplus of articles made by the local tribal people. Shopping here could be a worthwhile experience.
