Day 1: Arrival at NJP Railway / Bagdogra Airport (IXB)

Meals: Breakfast

Arrive at NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport to a warm welcome, receive assistance and transfer to Gangtok.
Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Gangtok

Meals: Breakfast

After enjoying breakfast, start an excursion to Tshangu Lake situated at a height of 12,400 feet and 3 hours away from Gangtok. Its average depth is 50 feet.
After staying at the lake for some time return to Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Gangtok - Kalimpong

Meals: Breakfast

Go for a half-day sightseeing tour of Jhakri Water Falls (4 hours) along with a visit to Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology and Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom. Also enjoy a flower show. In the afternoon, transfer to Kalimpong (3937 feet high).
Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4: Kalimpong - Darjeeling

Meals: Breakfast

After a hearty breakfast, visit Dello hills, Dr. Graham's Home, Flower Nurseries, Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang and Durbin Dara Hills.
Thereafter, transfer to Darjeeling (7380 feet) and upon arrival, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5: Darjeeling

Meals: Breakfast

Today, enjoy an early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 feet) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.

After breakfast go for a half-day sightseeing tour of Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sundays) & Tea Estate.

Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Darjeeling

Meals: Breakfast

After enjoying breakfast, take a transfer to Mirik (5800 feet high), which is 2-hour long drive away from Darjeeling. Enjoy a full-day excursion of Pashupati Nagar (Indo-Nepal border) for shopping and boating on Mirik Lake (horse riding & Boat is available around the lake on direct payment basis).
Return to the hotel in the evening followed by a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Departure

Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast today, transfer to the NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport to board a return flight.

Kalimpong

A sweet little town with a market place quite like that of a not-so-touristy hill station, at first sight, Kalimpong doesn't seem like your usual holiday destination. But look closer: mingle a bit with a local chaiwala, get into conversations with a homebound wayfarer and you might see another side of Kalimpong reveal itself, vying for your attention and waiting for you to discover it.

Rolling foothills, dark green valleys, and a rich history, Kalimpong has fast become a must-visit destination in Sikkim. Imbibing a melange of cultural identities, Kalimpong is best discovered at its beautiful churches, monasteries, and temples. But if stone structures fail to fascinate you, we recommend getting into your sneakers, getting out of your hotel, and traipsing the first mountain trail you feel like. Gangtok

Gangtok, an unassuming Himalayan town comes with the quaint charms very much like most hillside towns. And yet its culture and its influences stop it from being clubbed with the rest.

Flung away from the heart of India and in proximity with Tibet, it is most certainly not the quintessential Indian town. Buddhism is prevalent. So are entrancing views of mountains and foliage.

Monks cruising down the street in bikes is a common sight. You cannot miss the numerous monasteries in the city. The mystical Do-Drul Chorten, Enchey Gompa Monastery, Rumtek Monastery, Tashiling Monastery and Phensong Monastery are quite beautiful. The Namgyal Institute of Tibetology offers an intimate rendezvous with its culture. Even better are the masked dances and processions during festivals.

Gangtok offers some incredible views of the mighty Kanchenjunga from Tashi Point and its quaint temple, Ganesh Tok. Hanuman Tok is another Hindu temple in this city.

Shoppers and foodies will be delighted. From yummy tea to Tibetan handicrafts and fur jackets, Gangtok's MG Road and Lal Bazaar are only too happy to please. The food is diverse and restaurants serve you traditional Sikkimese dishes, steamed and fried Momos, the wicked Chang and succulent meat that will have you asking for more.

Changu Lake, Saramsa Garden and Banjhakri Falls are all a short drive from the city and are neat getaways whether you want to ride a Yak, sip on hot tea meditatively or have a scrumptious picnic. For a few lessons in history, just drive up to the Nathu La Pass.

Orchids, Snow Leopards, Red Pandas and bamboos have their own sanctuaries in Gangtok that takes the conservation of its greenscape and wildlife seriously.

Not a tourist trap, with little to do and much to discover, experience the art of doing nothing and being everything in Gangtok.
