"We booked a double room three nights at the hotel Seven Seventeen. On arrival at 8am, well before check in time were offered a suite decorated in traditional Tibetan style and overlooking Darjeeling from the 5th floor of the hotel. The service was friendly and warm with the owners showing us their prayer room and offering us traditional Tibetan cookies and real Tibetan tea (with salt rather than sugar). The restaurant served the best food we had during our one month stay in India. We returned to the Seven Seventeen after completing the Singalila trek. This time we stayed in a double room which was a bit tight after having been spoilt in the suite. But it was still clean and comfortable. Again the owners treated us like old friends and baked more cookies to take on our next trek. Overall the hotel helped to make our few days in Darjeeling a most enjoyable stay. "

Day 1: Arrival at NJP Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport - Darjeeling (100 kms /3 to 4 hrs approx)

On arrival at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport, (500 ft/150 mts) meet our representative, who will assist you to board your vehicle to Darjeeling (7380 ft /2250 mts).
Comfortably stay overnight at the hotel.

Get up to an early morning (at around 4 AM) and set out to Tiger Hills (8364 ft/2550 mts to view the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
After breakfast, go for a half-day sight seeing of Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate.
After a tiring day, look forward to a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling (50 kms / 2 hrs one way)
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to Mirik (5800 ft /1768 mts). Enjoy a full-day excursion of Pashupati Nagar (Indo-Nepal border) and do some shopping. Also, visit Mirik Lake. You can also enjoy some horse riding & boating around the lake on direct payment basis.
In the evening return back to Darjeeling and have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Darjeeling - NJP Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport (100 kms/3 to 4 hrs)
