Experience with Air Deccan: I booked my travel for Bhubaneshwar from Delhi in Air Deccan. My flight was scheduled for departure at 5:15 PM. But after checking in the airport, it was announced that flight was late. I waited for complete 1 hour on airport, which took me 1.5 hours late to Bhubaneshwar, where I was supposed to attend my MBA class, that I missed.

Experience with Air Deccan: My Experience with new improved air deccan was very good. Ambience was changed to match the standards of Kingfisher in Mallaya?s style. Service was good, flight was on time, everything was very well managed. Only thing lacking was quality of Air Hostesses !!!!!!!!!!

Experience with Air Deccan: I planed a holiday with my friend to Shimla, My bad luck I booked my travel on Air deccan. Flight was cancelled after delays right on the day of travel. So we took a jet flight to Chandigarh and from there traveled through a shared taxi till Shimla. It was a real bad experience.

Experience with Air Deccan: After merger with Kingfisher, Vijay Mallaya has added his taste of luxury in India?s first low cost carrier. Pros of this merger are that it?s fairly improved in its services and cons are hiked ticket prices. Other good thing started is food vending they have started on board.

Experience with Air Deccan: I was traveling first time on a Deccan flight and had heard lots of stories about it as the flight gets delayed, the staff is not good etc etc. However to my surprise the staff was overwhelming on board. The flight was on time Delhi to Mumbai. We have to wait on the runway for 30 minutes which was airport fault because of the birds roaming on the runway. Finally the flight took off and the journey begins. I purchased few food amenities as they do not provide with the food at a free cost. I think it is the best lowest fare flight flying between many sectors in India.

Experience with Air Deccan: I traveled Air Deccan from Bangalore to Delhi and they promptly lost my luggage, even though I was the first person to check in. Their staff was extremely unresponsive to address this issue. I left my phone number with them but they did not call back even after a couple of days. Repeated queries at their call centre only resulted in me having a lot more numbers to call, each of which were again mostly unreachable. Somehow after a lot of work I was able to talk to one of their attendants and she told me that they have been unable to get my luggage. Their policy is to refund on a maximum of Rs 450 per kg of items which is very less incase you are carrying branded clothes with you on the airlines. After this experience I checked with a lot of people and they also suggested that air Deccan has a very bad reputation in handling luggage. This just proves the fact that air Deccan are very bad at handling your luggage and don?t really mind losing it.
So do spare the bad experience and don?t fly air Deccan. |

Experience with Air Deccan: I have been using the service of Deccan for 3 -4 years They have really improved a lot. My first flight was a nightmare .The flight was from Bangalore to Mumbai, they never had seat numbers and their staff was outsourced who had no commitment to serve. The rush of people to board the flight reminded me of the Local Transport Bus.
The food pack was also very cold (It is still cold).
Today they have improved a lot, of the crew is better, they have seat numbers in the boarding card, free drinking water is served and still they are maintaining the low fare. |

Experience with Air Deccan: My flight was booked a month ago for Delhi to Shimla. The flight had to take off at 10am. We reached airport at 8am as the check in time of the Deccan flights have to be before 1hour. Thankfully check in was done on time. Because of monsoons hit Shimla are flight got delayed from 10am to 10.30 then 11 and at 11.30 finally it got cancelled. We were briefed that we would get refund on our credit card in next 14 days. So we took a jet flight to Chandigarh and then hired a taxi to Shimla from the Chandigarh airport. I called up the Deccan call center for refunds after two days. They briefed me that your money would be refunded in next week. The second week i called them again and same thing was told to me. Third week i was told that i have not asked for refund so im supposed to write a mail which was disgusting as waiting for 2 weeks for the refund and haven't received was disgraceful on their hand. I had to fight for my refund and then i was given a reference no. of my refund case and was asked to wait another 14 days. So because of Deccan staff miscommunication at the airport i have o pay extra tax on my credit card.
I would suggest it would be better to travel in some different airlines offering lower airfares then traveling in Deccan. |

| Experience with Air Deccan: Last month I traveled from Delhi to Bhubaneshwar. I had a bad experience even in the improved air deccan flights. Flight was not on time, I didn’t reach in an urgent business meeting due to this flight delay. Cabin crew was not at all helpful. I almost lost my baggage. I must say that Air deccan even after merger with the luxurious flight, needs to improve a lot. |

| Experience with Air Deccan: I recently traveled in Air deccan's Delhi-Bangalore sector. After merger with Kingfisher airlines, i noticed a lot of good changes happening in Dhakkan / Dakkar airlines. AC's were working, flight was on time, and sitting arrangements were handled properly. They have started vending food items on board. I bought a sandwich for Rs. 60, I would not say it was worth it but it was good and refreshing. Overall it was a nice experience in traveling in all new improved Deccan airlines. |
