Diu Overview
Diu is an unspoilt island retreat that is dotted with beautiful beaches, coconut groves, majestic palms, stately churches and an idyllic coastline. With gentle breezes and a laid-back lifestyle, Diu allows one to unwind and getaway from the grit and grind of daily city life. A must visit is the Nagoa beach, popular among locals and tourists alike for its clean water and sands. Parasailing is also offered here. There are 5 other not so well known beaches in Diu, all easily accessible. One must also visit the remains of Portuguese occupation, such as the old fort, and churches, as well as the quaint museum, all giving a strong old-world feel. Not eating the great seafood could be considered a crime, if you are not vegetarian that is.
