Daman Overview
Daman was under Portuguese control from 1539 up until 1961. It has become a popular tourist destination because of its relatively untouched beaches, and old world charm evident in the colonial architecture. Daman has a unique and hidden nature and will surely be worth the effort. The forts of Moti Daman, and Nani Daman are must see locations. Others include the rustic and beautiful Nani Daman jetty, the 17th-century Se Cathedral, Church Of Bom Jesus, the Church of Our Lady of Rosary, Kadiaya Lake Garden, and Pargola Garden. Daman also has 2 amusement parks, namely Devka and Mirasol Water Park. Jampore Beach is also a must visit.
