Surya Resort Hotel Description

Started in 1980, Surya Resort is a well maintained hotel that provides a wholesome experience. Set on the edge of the mountainside, its pale yellow building with a green roof stands amidst lush green pine and deodar trees. A property that offers more than accommodation, Surya Resort enjoys the advantage of being located near the main market, offering a splendid view of the Bathri Valley.

The hotel boasts of a huge parking area that stretches from the main road to the entrance of the hotel. A flight of stairs lead to the lobby which comprises elegant sofas placed at one end of the hall with the reception counter adjacent to it. The rooms are spread across two floors which are accessible by a staircase.

Rooms
The hotel offers comfortable accommodation in 15 well furnished rooms that are divided into 4 Semi Deluxe rooms, 9 Deluxe rooms and 2 Super Deluxe rooms. Each room is well appointed with all modern amenities including a television, telephone, sofas, dressing table with full length mirror, luggage rack and a cupboard. Washroom amenities include soap, linen and a geyser. Some rooms have bathtubs.

While the Semi Deluxe rooms overlook the parking lot, Deluxe rooms are valley facing and have large windows that offer a panoramic view of the valley. In addition, the Super Deluxe rooms are spacious and have a separate sitting area.

Please note that room heaters are provided at an extra cost.

Dining
Surya Resort has a multi purpose hall that serves as a dining hall as well as a conference hall. The hotel serves Indian, Chinese and Gujarati fare besides select Continental dishes. The dining hall can seat 45 guests and is open for breakfast (7 am - 11 am), lunch (12 noon - 4 pm) and dinner (7 pm - 11 pm). The option of in-room dining is also available through room service, which can be availed at an additional charge of 10% on the bill amount.

Services & Facilities
Conference/banquet facilities are offered in the multi purpose hall that can seat 135 guests in a U-shape arrangement and can accommodate up to 200 guests in a theatre style arrangement.

The hotel arranges Dalhousie bus stand transfers and also offers facilities like fax and courier service. Other services available at Surya Resort include a car rental service, doctor on call, laundry service and spacious parking.

Location
Surya Resort is within walking distance of the bus stand and enjoys proximity to all places of tourist interest. Its strategic location allows for a great view of the Bathri Valley. It is just a kilometre away from Gandhi Chowk and about 22 kms away from Khajjiar. The nearest railway station is at Pathankot, 81 kms away.
