Ananda Nilaya is situated in Mahadevpet End of Madikeri in Coorg. It is very centrally located, and is approximately 1 km from the Madikeri Bus Stand, Madikeri Fort & Palace, Omkareshwar Temple and Raja's Seat (View Point). Abbey Falls is 9 km away. The nearest railhead is in Mysore at 110 km and the nearest airport is in Bangalore, 240 km away.

The Cardamom room is 225 square feet in size and also located on the first floor and has a private entrance. The room features are the same as the Coffee room. Both room categories have an attached bathroom. They also open into a large living room, dining room and kitchen.

Amenities include a microwave, refrigerator and a washing machine. Coffee and Cardamom rooms also have internet connectivity.

Dining & Facilities
While all the rooms have an attached full service kitchen, the homestay also has arrange for authentic Coorgi meals on request.

Abbi Falls (15 Km)

Abbi Falls is a beautiful waterfall situated 8 km from Madikeri in a private estate. Abbi in the local language means falls. The waterfall is frequently visited by locals and tourists alike, and its beauty can be experienced from a hanging bridge.

Nagarahole Wildlife Sanctuary (10 Km)

The Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary is also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, and covers an area of 284 sq. km, and is 98 km from Madikeri. Teeming with wildlife such as elephants and deer, it has deciduous forests and belts of swampy ground.

Dubare Elephant Camp (45 Km)

18 km from Kushalnagar, is Dubare Elephant Camp, located on a beautiful natural island. The state run Jungle Lodges and Resorts takes care of the upkeep of this camp. There are 12 tamed elephants here, and visitors can take free elephant rides.

Raja Seat (1 Km)

Overlooking a deep valley is a beautiful garden, where the Kings of Kodagu spent their evenings the sunset, hence Rajas Seat. Spectacular views of the valleys, lush green fields and Western Ghats of Coorg are visible here.

Tibetian Camp (40 Km)

Bylakuppe is 2nd largest Tibetan Camp in India, and is located 6 km from Kushalnagar, an important commercial centre in the Coorg district of Karnataka. There are 4 beautiful Buddhist monasteries nearby called Sakya, Sera Je, Kagyur and Namdroling.

Talakaveri. (48 Km)

The birth place of the Kaveri, Talakaveri is one of the main pilgrim centres of Karnataka. A 48 km drive from Madikeri, it is at the foot of Brahmagiri Hills. A Brahma Kundike, or small spring or pond, is where the river emerges from, atop a scenic hill.

Irrupu Falls. (45 Km)

Iruppu Falls is 91 km from Madikeri, and is a sacred spot in the Brahmagiri range of hills. The river Lakshman-tirtha and Ram-tirtha flow nearby, and have significance in the Ramayana. The temple dedicated to Lord Ram here is much visited by pilgrims.
