Abad Metro Hotel Description

This 2 star property was started in 2001 and stands as a stark white structure with 5 floors, just off the main commercial district of Cochin. It is one of the five Abad properties in Cochin and offers comfortable accommodation with a variety of rooms.

Lobby
The hotel lobby is a small, compact space with white tiled flooring. The wooden reception table stands directly in front of the entrance. Green upholstered armchairs populate the lobby as a seating space while a travel desk occupies the space beside. The lobby turns out to be more enterprising with a computer offering internet connections and a printer sitting in a corner, offering a decent amount of privacy. This is for in house guests and can be availed free of charge. The lobby leads to Downtown - the multi cuisine restaurant and to an elevator behind.

Rooms
The hotel is home to a total of 37 rooms of which there are 17 Standard rooms - they come in single bed categories and are the base category, 19 Deluxe rooms - they come in single and double bed categories and 1 Suite which is the highest category and only comes with double beds. The rooms are simple yet smart spaces and the facilities available in the rooms are cable television, air conditioning, room service from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, direct dial STD/ISD telephones, 24 hours running hot & cold water and basic toiletries in the washrooms. Only the highest category of rooms - the Suite - boasts of added facilities of a refrigerator and bathtub in the washroom. The Suite is a larger space with a dining table for two and a larger seating area. All the rooms are streamlined with cool marble flooring. With the highest category being aid to luxury and the lowest providing a sense of comfort, the rooms provide a humble abode.

Added services and facilities offered by the hotel include a conference hall, an Ayurvedic rejuvenation centre, access to a swimming pool and health club at Abad Plaza which is 5 minutes away, car parking space, safe deposit lockers, laundry, doctor on call, currency exchange and acceptance of major credit cards.

Dining
Downtown is the multi cuisine restaurant on the lobby level which usually plays upbeat instrumental music and can accommodate a total of 40 persons. It is a pretty space with stained blue, opaque glass, wooden chairs and tables and a wall of windows allowing ample natural light to filter in. It only offers an a la carte menu and is open for breakfast (7:00 am to 10:30 am), lunch (12:00 pm to 3:00 pm) and dinner (7:00 pm to 11:00 pm) and serves typical Kerala cuisine from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm everyday. This delightful place must be visited and you could try the Kerala meal here - delightful.

Banquets & Conferences
The hotel has the Summit Board Room situated on the 2nd floor which can accommodate 60 persons in theatre style. It is a relatively large space with all audio visual and conferencing equipment supplied at an extra charge.

The hotel gives you all the basic comforts you would require and is a good, economical accommodation to avail be it on pleasure or business.

The hotel is located in Ernakulam, just off the famous and main commercial area of MG Road, on Rajaji Road. It is located 29 kilometres from the Cochin International Airport, just 2 kilometres from the railway station and walking distance from the bus station.
