The hotel is located 2 kilometres from the bus station, 27 kilometres from the railway station in Kandaghat and 45 kilometres from Shimla. The bus stand is just 2 kilometres away.

Hotel Grand Sunset is an unassuming structure located on the main road yet isolated in the most natural and rustic of surroundings. It offers a breath taking view of the sunset and is ideal for nature lovers. The property was started in 2002 and is a well maintained space.

Lobby
The lobby is a large space which looks somewhat bare because of its size. With brown tiled flooring, maroon & brown wooden upholstered sofas and glass top coffee tables, it is a welcoming space. A marble top reception table is situated directly beside the entrance and you can clear any queries here. Marble and cemented pillars fill the space in this large lobby. The lobby is shared with a dining hall that sports smart wooden chairs and tables.

Rooms
The hotel offers a total of 22 rooms which are categorised as Deluxe rooms which are the lowest category, Super Deluxe rooms and Family Suites which are the highest category. The facilities common to all the rooms are cable television, room service from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm, telephones with STD connections, geysers in the washrooms and heaters at an extra charge. The Family Suites are larger spaces with two bedrooms and two attached washrooms. The main difference between the Deluxe rooms and Super Deluxe rooms are that the Super Deluxe rooms enjoy better views from the windows and occupy all the floors except for the ground.
