Aizawl Overview
Located 4000 ft above sea level, Aizawl is the beautiful state capital of Mizoram. Aizawl is surrounded by beauty, with the lush Tlawng River Valley to the west, the Turial River Valley in the east, and the rugged landscape of Durtlang in the north. Aizawl is filled with awesome natural splendours, and they more than deserve every moment spent admiring them.Go boating and fishing on the beautiful Tamdil or Tam Lake, which is located 82 km from the town. Also, if you have the time, visit Vantawng Falls, 137 km from Aizawl. In the city itself there are many places to explore, like the popular picnic spot of Bung, the amazing State Museum, and the rich and diverse Bara Bazaar.
