Location
Hotel Amar is located on the main Fatehbad Road, which is the hub of hotel activity in the town. The airport is 8 kms away from the hotel, the railway station 4 kms away and the closest bus stand is just 2 kms away from the hotel. The famous Taj Mahal is also very close to the hotel.

Enter and you will be welcomed with a laidback atmosphere reminiscent of a lazy afternoon back home. The lobby and reception of Hotel Amar reflect recent renovation in the otherwise old building. The lobby is furnished with comfortable sofas and tables (with light fitted underneath-an innovative idea devised by the owner) and chairs.

Room Amenities
There are 68 comfortably furnished rooms, which are categorised into Premium, Executive, Mughal, Elite Paramount and Amar suites. The first three rooms have the same facilities varying in degrees in descending order. Facilities include attached bath, air conditioner, satellite television, sofas/chairs and mini-bar (in the premium room). The suites are pleasant with an adjoining sitting area and Jacuzzi in the bathrooms.

Dining
Food and beverage outlets at the hotel include the Madira bar - a compact place facing the pool with dim lights serves a diverse stock of both imported and Indian liquors, wines and cocktails. The Noorjehan restaurant, which is well lit, open and airy, offers an exotic blend of luscious Indian, Mughlai, Chinese and Continental cuisines.

Hotel Facilities
Hotel Amar has three conference halls - Dewan-E-Khas, Sheesh Mahal and Rang Mahal with a capacity to hold 10-250 people at a time.

The pool is adjacent to the lawn and is adorned with a water slide for water lovers. The health club is small and has a list of work out instruments with steam bath and Jacuzzi attached to it. Hotel Amar also organises traditional Ayurvedic massages by trained masseurs. In all, you should go to this place without very high expectations and I think you'll be pleased.

Kheria Airport (5 Km)

Taj Mahal (1 Km)

Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Built in white marble, lying on the banks of the river Yamuna, it is one of the most stunning structures of the world, embodying perfect symmetry and exquisite detailing.

Fathepur Sikri (38 Km)

Thirty seven kilometers from Agra, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was built from scratch in 1571 by Akbar and abandoned within 14 years. It’s an architectural marvel, built with red sand stone, housing courtyards, arches, palaces and domes.

Agra Cantonment Station (4 Km)

Located in the southwest area of the city, the Agra Cantonment Station is a major rail head, well connected with the rest of the country. Painted in white, the station houses a tourist information centre an outside, there is a pre-paid taxi booth.
